This can be increased by 'overburn' techniques and new technologies that use a second recordable layer ('dual layer') - which can extend a discs capacity to 8.5GB. HD DVD offers upto 50GB data storage capacity. So you can see that accurate and fast data transfer and copying methods becomes important.
